How it works

One thread through your whole site.

Structure, copy, review, and sign-off aren't four tools โ€” they're four steps in one workflow. Here's the whole thing, and a live demo you can click.

Move a page through the workflow.

Pick a page on the left. Its copy is right there โ€” advance it and watch it move to the next step. This is the real thing, in miniature.

The four steps

Guided, step by step.

The four steps: map the site, connect each page to its copy, review and sign off, then hand off to the designer, who builds each page and marks it built.
1

Bring it in

Build your sitemap as a drag-and-drop mind-map or a spreadsheet-style table, or import an existing tree. Every page in one picture, and page order is your menu order.

2

Connect the copy

Link each page to its copy โ€” or request it from a writer, even for a whole section at once. Move or rename a page and the links follow automatically.

3

Review & sign off

Assign it, comment and @mention, attach files, send it back or approve. Approval is pinned to the version you approved, and a new version needs approving again.

4

Hand off

Hand approved copy to your designer in one step. They build from the approved version and mark each page built. Then send the team one update: what changed and what's waiting on each person. Direct publish connectors are coming soon.

The idea

Interconnected beats another silo.

Most tools make you the integration โ€” copying a page name into a doc, pasting a link into an email, updating a spreadsheet so everyone knows the status. DraftBay holds those connections for you. Change the structure and the copy links move with it. Approve the copy and it's ready to hand off. Change approved copy and it goes back for approval, while your designer keeps building from the approved version. The workflow itself carries the context, so you don't have to.
